HOW TO MAKE A BOHO FALL WREATH

This easy peace sign wreath will add a natural, boho feel to your fall home decor. I choose to lean my peace sign wreath up against my hearth, but you could make a smaller fall wreath for your front door.

Supplies

  • 36″ grapevine wreath
  • floral wire
  • fall garland of your choice

You can find all my craft supplies here.

I chose an oversized wreath form for this to give the final fall project an extra whimsical feel. I recommend using a grapevine wreath to achieve the natural fall look. The garland I chose has a mixture of dried corn husks, leaves, and pinecones.

How To Make a Boho Peace Sign Fall Wreath

Here’s how you will make your boho peace sign wreath. It’s a little bit of a tedious process but has very few steps.

  1. Gather your supplies and clear a flat workspace for yourself. You’ll need some room to work with such a large wreath.
  2. Unravel some of your floral wire and straignten it as much as you can. Don’t cut it from the spool.
  3. Measure how much of your garland you’ll need to make the different arms of your peace sign. I was able to create mine with a single garland.
  4. One you have measures, cut your garland into the seperate pieces.
  5. Start with the largest middle section. Snip one end of the string from your garland, and run the floral wire through the holes where the string originally strung the garland.
  6. Once you have restrung you sectoion, give an extra two feet of wire on each side. You’ll use this to attach it to the wreath form.
  7. Prop your wreath up and attach the first section by wrapping the floral wire around the wreath, then securing the wore by intertwining it around itself.
  8. Repeat the rrestringing process with the second and last section.
  9. find the middle of your garland section and place it behind the section that’s already attached to your wreath.
  10. Twist the section around the middle sectoin, moving the pieces of your garland out of the way so that only your strings are wrapping.
  11. Attach the end the same way you did the first, by wrapping the wire around the wreath form.

HOW TO MAKE AN EASY BOHO FALL WREATH

You may have seen on my Insta that we recently became home owners! We were so grateful we were are in a position where we were able to buy a home, and excited about all the projects that come with a house!

BUT WOW HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED in the last few weeks. Lots of new home repairs suddenly came up. Hello standing water in the basement and totally new roof…

Amongst the chaos I just needed to have one thing that made the house feel semi put together.

Fast forward a few days and there I was standing in an overly crowded Trader Joes in my leggings and work out tank, just like the 9,8079 people in there, and I perused the floral section per usual.

Didn’t have any big revelations here, just snatched up some fall wheat filler and pretty stems and left satisfied after grabbing my butternut squash mac and cheese.

OK, I’ll get to the point.

-Woven fans or something else that shows off your personality (mine were thrifted but you can find them on Etsy.)

-String or floral wire
– Hairspray

HOW TO MAKE YOUR WREATH

1. Gather your supplies.
2. Lay out your florals to decide on your design.
3. Bundle your florals with string or floral wire.
4. Attach your bundles with floral wire or hot glue.
5. Adjust until you’re happy!

DIY BOHO DRIED FLOWER HAT- EASY SEASONAL WARDROBE UPGRADE

Flowers are the classic accessory. From the traditional bouquet or corsage, to flower crowns and flowers in your hair, they’re not going away any time soon. Lately, I’ve seen nature’s perfect accessory adorning boho wide-brim hats galore. I am HERE FOR IT.

I picture wearing these hats for wedding festivities like bachelorette parties and bridal showers. You’ll catch me donning mine with the baby bump this spring.

This DIY is short, sweet, and is a great outlet for creativity. You can customize your hat for a minimalist or maximalist look. DIY below!

SUPPLIES

Hat
Floral Wire
Assorted dried and silk flowers
Wire snippers
Glue gun

I bought all my supplies here.

DIY Boho Floral Hat

STEPS

  1. Use the floral wire to create a circular “wreath” shape around your hat. Then, wrap it several times, twisting the ends around for extra stability. I made mine a smidge looser so it can be removed without damaging the hat.
  2. You’ll start with your base flowers. Wrap a single layer around the hat and securing them with small pieces of floral wire to the “wreath” you created. No need for perfection. It’s easy to go back and layer in where needed.
  3. Next, add in other flowers on top of your base layer. I prefer to mix different textures. You can stick with one pop of color of go with a more vibrant color pallet. I used the floral wire to attach most of these, then hot glue to attach the smaller detail flowers. If you want to be able to remove your flower wreath form your hat, make sure you don’t get glue on your hat.
