Seashell everything is trending this summer and I am here for it! AS FL gal myself, I love the texture and unique colors shells bring to the table. Plus, the extra kick of earth tones brings in the beach goddess, glowy vibes ๐
For this DIY I’m going to show the EASIEST way to add some summer flair to your boho hairstyles.
SUPPLIES
- shells of your choice
- bobby pins or barrettes
- super glue
- scissors
- tweezers (optional)
HOW TO
- Gather your shells. I found this vintage shell necklace at an Estate sale and dismantled it for this project.
- Adhere shells to you pins or barrettes using superglue. I used tweezers for this to avoid getting it on my hands. (No one wants to mess up freshly painted nails.)
- Let the glue dry and add in another layer of shells if you’d like!
I love the way these turned out, and next time I’m going to try our a hair comb like the one I wore in our wedding so I can layer on more color and give a faux shell crown effect. This would be cute to wear in the back for a half up half down look, or on the side with a simple beachy wave.
