65 Unexpected Things I Learned In My First Month of Motherhood

  • You will use way more blankets, burp cloths, rags, etc. than you think. Spit up and drool laden items end up at every seat and feeding station.
  • So. Many. Diapers.
  • Get the blue bottle of Dermoplast, the red bottle will burn.

EASY DIY DOOR TASSEL WITH AIR DRY CLAY BEADS

Supplies

  • Air Dry Clay
  • Yarn of choice- two colors
  • Twine or string
  • Small piece of tape
  • Wooden skewer
I BOUGHT ALL MY SUPPLIES HERE.

How To Make Your Beads

  1. Break your air dry clay into smaller pieces. I didn’t measure because I didn’t want the beads to all be exactly the same.
  2. Roll clay into a sphere using your hands against a hard surface.
  3. Poke a large hole thorough the center using the wooden skewer.
  4. Let clay dry for three or four days. On the package mine said to let dry for to to three days, but that wasn’t enough for these thick beads.
  5. Once completely dry you can paint and embellish the beads.

We’ve spent a lot of time in the nursery and I’m so happy with the results.

The creation of our boy’s nursery started and wrapped up all during very uncertain times. As first time parents-to-be, we navigated the last nine months with lots of skeptical optimism while we looked forward to meeting our first born.

NURSERY RENOVATION-SPRING 2020 ONE ROOM CHALLENGE: WEEK 7

This week in the One Room Challenge we started to put the finishing touches on our nursery. Next week I will share images of the final thing, and hopefully Baby T. will be snoozing away in there shortly after!

Just a few weeks to go or less until we meet Baby T.
