HOW TO MAKE A BOHO FALL WREATH

This easy peace sign wreath will add a natural, boho feel to your fall home decor. I choose to lean my peace sign wreath up against my hearth, but you could make a smaller fall wreath for your front door.

Supplies

  • 36″ grapevine wreath
  • floral wire
  • fall garland of your choice

You can find all my craft supplies here.

I chose an oversized wreath form for this to give the final fall project an extra whimsical feel. I recommend using a grapevine wreath to achieve the natural fall look. The garland I chose has a mixture of dried corn husks, leaves, and pinecones.

How To Make a Boho Peace Sign Fall Wreath

Here’s how you will make your boho peace sign wreath. It’s a little bit of a tedious process but has very few steps.

  1. Gather your supplies and clear a flat workspace for yourself. You’ll need some room to work with such a large wreath.
  2. Unravel some of your floral wire and straignten it as much as you can. Don’t cut it from the spool.
  3. Measure how much of your garland you’ll need to make the different arms of your peace sign. I was able to create mine with a single garland.
  4. One you have measures, cut your garland into the seperate pieces.
  5. Start with the largest middle section. Snip one end of the string from your garland, and run the floral wire through the holes where the string originally strung the garland.
  6. Once you have restrung you sectoion, give an extra two feet of wire on each side. You’ll use this to attach it to the wreath form.
  7. Prop your wreath up and attach the first section by wrapping the floral wire around the wreath, then securing the wore by intertwining it around itself.
  8. Repeat the rrestringing process with the second and last section.
  9. find the middle of your garland section and place it behind the section that’s already attached to your wreath.
  10. Twist the section around the middle sectoin, moving the pieces of your garland out of the way so that only your strings are wrapping.
  11. Attach the end the same way you did the first, by wrapping the wire around the wreath form.

HOW TO MAKE ACORN SAILBOATS

ACORN SAILBOATS
Acorn Sailboat Craft

These easy acorn sailboats make the perfect kid’s craft any afternoon.

SUPPLIES

  • Hot glue gun and extra glue
  • Gauze or another fabric with lots of texture
  • Large acorn tops
  • Skewers or toothpicks
  • Wire cutters

If you need to stock up on craft supplies, I highly recommend joining Michael’s free rewards program. I regularly have a $10 off voucher when I shop.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. First, plug in your hot glue gun. I would recommend using a mini size for more precision since you’ll be dealing with small parts like the acorn tops and toothpicks.
  2. Next, cut your toothpicks into various lengths with your wire cutters, ranging from 0.75″-1.5″. These will eventually be your sail masts.
  3. Then, cut your fabric into various sized triangles. These will be you acorn sails. You can cut extras and add multiple to a sailboat.
  4. Add a small dot of hot glue to the center of the inside of you acorn tops, and attach the skewer piece. Hold it for a few seconds to make sure it dried straight.
  5. Finally, add glue to your acorn sailboat mast and attach the triangle of fabric. Now you have your sails. I made mine in mixed sizes and added a double sail for a more whimsical look.

These would be fun for kids to play within a sensory bin, or just as a simple toy where their imaginations can run wild. There’s something a little magical about simple, nature-inspired crafts that adds charm to your day.

HOW TO SHOP THE TARGET DOLLAR SPOT ONLINE

You walk into Target and grab your cart, and head straight to the dollar section. I know I can’t resist a quick browse as I walk by. Now, when you make your online orders, you can also get your hands on those cute and affordable items from Target’s Bulleseye’s Playground.

Here’s How:

When you go to the Target app or website, search for “dollar spot” or “Bulleseye playground”. You will see results for many of the current and past items that you would find in the store.

Tips for shopping the dollar spot online:

  1. You will find multi-packs of the items. For example, you will most likely be able to shop packs of five or ten of each item. If you decide to return your purchase, you have to return the entire pack, not just one of the pieces.
  2. If you missed a popular piece and your store is sold out, you may be able to find it online.
  3. Check back often. It seems that items for each new season are added sporadically, so checking back a few times a week may help you find what you need.
  4. There is a Facebook group for Bulleseye Playground lovers. If you miss out on something you need, you can probably find it for sale in this group.

Next time you need bulk bubbles or cute party decorations, use these tips to find all the Target Dollar Spot Goods!
